How to Join

To become a POMCO Network Provider, you must adhere to the following credentialing criteria:

  • Must have valid, current and unrestricted medical license.
  • Must have valid, current and unrestricted DEA Certificate (for prescribing practitioners).
  • Must have valid and current proof of Board Certification.
  • Must have valid and current professional liability insurance coverage, as required in the POMCO Participating Provider Agreement.
  • No history or acceptable explanation relating to malpractice claims.
  • Willingness to participate in benefit management/utilization review programs.
  • No history or acceptable explanation of revocation, suspension, or limitation of any license required to practice a profession, certification, registration or privileges.
  • No history or acceptable explanation of disciplinary action, denial of membership or privileges at any hospital or medical institution.
  • No history or acceptable explanation of suspension from participation in any health programs such as Medicare, Medicaid, HMO, PPO, etc.
  • No history or acceptable explanation of conviction of any crime, excluding minor traffic infractions.
  • Must be currently practicing within area of postgraduate training.
  • No current physical and/or mental impairment or condition or substance abuse problem which would make the practitioner unable, even with reasonable accommodation, to perform the essential functions of a practitioner in the practitioner's area of practice.

POMCO will review each application based on the criteria set forth in the above text and based on POMCO Participating Provider Organization needs in the geographic area in which the applicant practices.
